Furthermore, this technology should be understandable and accessible. Lea makes this possible.

With bright vision of the future Robot Care Systems (RCS) is a subsidiary of Robots Robot Company (RRC) , which strives to make robotics available to both businesses and organizations as consumers and institutions. Such high goals cannot be achieved alone. The 25 highly trained employees of RCS gladly collaborate with research partners from universities and research institutes and business partners from home and abroad. Decisiveness and a bright and vison of the future characterize our products; that is why we are also actively looking for distributors and sales channels for Lea, both nationally and internationally. We strive not only to develop and construct robots:  we want to make sure Lea becomes part of the whole world!

Platform Software Developer

Job description/project:

You will be working with Lea (lean empowering assistant) the care robot. Lea is a robotic walking aid designed to enhance the recovery speed of people in rehabilitation and makes it possible for those needing a walking aid to live independently at home. Earlier this year Lea was released to the market and delivered to its first costumers.

Leas software application stack consists of many complex modules. For the application stack to run properly a stable and up to date platform is a must. The current platform is Linux based and has been designed to be easily upgradeable and maintainable. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Design and implement new features and functionalities
  • Further develop the existing platform to be able to run on various types of robots
  • Support and maintain the current platform
  • Analyze and root cause software issues
  • Estimate effort for software development

Your typical day at Robot Care Systems:

Arrive at the office in the morning and have a coffee with one of the colleagues. At 9:15am you will join the stand up with the team and there after start on your task to create a design for one of the new features for the robotic platform. Once finished with the concept of the design you set up a design session with the rest of the team to discuss and receive input. Once the design is finalized you get to work on the implementation of the new feature. Through out the day one of your colleagues sends you a merge request and you spend some time reviewing it. Before the end of the day you deploy and test your newly developed code on one of the test robots and do some final adjustments. Once you have finished testing you push your code to git and create a merge request to be reviewed by one of the colleagues.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in software engineering / computer science or comparable
  • Experience working with Linux platforms
  • Experience with C++
  • Experience working with Python
  • Experience with software version control
  • Proficient in English

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with Test Driven Development
  • Experience with Continuous Integration
  • Experience with Software Deployment
  • Working with SCRUM

We work with a young and international team (over 5 nationalities) in a very dynamic & growing working environment. Other than working on solutions for care systems our sister company Robot Engineered Systems works on autonomous driving vehicles. There is a close collaboration between Robot Care Systems and Robot Engineered Systems.

Android Developer

Job description
You will be working Lea (lean Empowering Assistant) the care robot. Leas main user interface is an android tablet which is the gateway between the user and Leas functionalities. The current functionalities includes video calling, messaging, send away, exercising, dancing and reminders. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Design and implement new features and functionalities
  • Support and maintain Leas main android development
  • Analyze and root cause software issues
  • Estimate effort for software development

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in software engineering / computer science
  • Experience working with Java and Android
  • 2 years of relevant working experience
  • Experience with software version control
  • Proficient in English

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience working with Test Driven Development
  • Experience working with Python
  • Experience with Continuous Integration
  • Experience with Software Deployment
  • Working with SCRUM
